Amber and Todd took a day to visit Catedral de la Encarnación de Málaga.

The place is massive. One of the largest we remember seeing in person.

Extremely ornate interior with a dozen
oratories well furnished with art.

See all those massive columns in the middle? These were absent in the Hagia Sofia, which was one of it's architectural marvels that helped make it the world's largest indoor space for centuries.
We added the roof tour. All the small brick domes correspond to the pillars in the interior. But after 200 years of construction starting in 1528, they ran out of money and never completed the other bell tower or roof.

Really thought these stairs were cool to think
about how they were constructed.

Ancient Islamic palace and fortress above a recently revealed Roman circus from the 1st century.

Turns out Malaga is one of the older continuously inhabited European cities at over 2700 years presumably founded by the phoenicians.
First day of school.

Uniforms are popular with the British.

Todd did this once in Thailand. Couldn't handle
the ticklishness. Boys liked the fish.

In almost every grocery store. Priced by the size of the bottle. Even restaurants
serve fresh squeezed orange juice.

We enjoyed walking the beach after dinner to experience unusually large surf.
